Depends on: #200

Goal

Make Codex sessions satisfy Maestro's existing structured-session contract across configuration, transcript projection, permissions, usage reporting, cancellation, and resume.

Requirements

  • Exercise the maintained @agentclientprotocol/codex-acp adapter against Maestro's ACP handshake and document any provider-specific capability differences.
  • Verify model, reasoning-effort, mode, and command configuration from the adapter's advertised session options.
  • Correctly project Codex text, reasoning, plans, shell commands, file changes, MCP calls, web/search and media-related tool events using the existing eight transcript row kinds.
  • Verify permission decisions, turn cancellation, token/context usage, adapter failure, and session/load behavior.
  • Preserve understood-but-unrendered updates as notices; upgrade or extend the ACP schema only where a real Codex update requires it.
  • Add deterministic compatibility fixtures plus the narrowest practical real-adapter smoke coverage that does not require CI credentials.
  • Amend docs/STRUCTURED-VIEW.md so its core contract is provider-independent and Claude/Codex differences are explicit.

Non-goals

  • Reproducing every Codex app-server feature beyond what ACP exposes.
  • Web or TUI visual redesign.
  • TUI parity with browser-only Markdown, clipboard, hover, or autocomplete behavior.
